BAMA Kids Black History Extravaganza

The 2015 BAMA Kids, Inc. Black History Extravaganza will commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Voting Rights Act with a two day event.  On Saturday, February 21st from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., there will be a photo exhibit, oral history and film festival, which will be held at the Ferry Terminal at 1001 Earl Hilliard Rd. in Camden.  On Sunday, February 22nd at 5:00 at the Camden School of Arts and Technology the Black History Extravaganza/Soul Food Taste; will feature renowned story-teller Sister Yomi who will tell the invigorating story of the Wilcox County  Civil Rights Movement.  The theme will be: “Wilcox County Civil Rights Movement:  Fifty Years of Struggles, Strives and Successes.” Saturday’s event is free.  The admission for Sunday is $5.00 for adults.  The event will be funded in part by the Alabama Department of Tourism and the Black Belt Community Foundation.
